When executive producer/showrunner Clyde Phillips exited Dexter on the finish of the fourth season, he left the rest solid and crew with a puzzle worthwhile of a cackling supervillain: no longer most effective have the option to top John Lithgow's gorgeous performance as a Big Bad, but also somehow rebuild the principle character's lifestyles after the season finale's devastating ending.
